Colorado Youth for a Change employs a staff of over 40 mission-driven people, which includes Principals, Teachers, Educational Outreach Specialists, Educational Intervention Specialists, and Transition Specialists. CYC believes that education is vital for success, and 49% of our staff hold a graduate degree, 44% hold a bachelor's degree, and 5% hold an associate's degree.
Our teaching staff on average has 14 years of teaching experience. CYC staff has a combined 332 years (or an average of 12 years per staff) of experience working with at risk students with expertise in homeless youth, gang violence, LGBTQ, mental health, and substance abuse. CYC values the importance of diversity! 30 percent of our staff speaks Spanish and demographics are as follows:
65% Female, 35% Male, 54% White, 30% Hispanic, 13% Black, and 3% Asian.
